Vision Statement

Our party is strong, mighty, and impactful. We will compete for every seat in every election with qualified, dedicated, and passionate candidates. We are focused on community outreach with our hearts leaning toward marginalized communities. We serve the community to build trust and thereby connect to those who share our belief in service. ​

Core Values

• Service - Champaign County Democrats are service-oriented.  We work with community partners to improve the lives of  our residents and to uplift those who need us the most. 
• Optimism – We optimistically believe we can improve our community by inspiring hope through visible actions. 
• Creativity – We use innovative ideas such as the “School Lunch Debt Relief” program and our upcoming "Tools for Schools" program to be the primary “go-to” community partner. We strive to be the partner who is asked to help with projects, problems, and issues. When appropriate, we push back on the status quo. 
• Ally and DEI-Focused – We respect and celebrate differences and continuously strive to be a party where everyone feels included and is encouraged to be their authentic self.   ​
