Community Partnerships

Champaign County Democrats contribute to the wellbeing of our community through partnerships with local organizations. These partnerships include:

A member donating blood at one of Champaign County Democratic Party's Blood Drive

Blood Drives

We partner with the American Red Cross and the Urbana Senior Center to publicize and staff blood drives at the Senior Center. The blood drives we are assisting with this year will be on June 12th and November 11th.

Habitat for Humanity

We provide meals for Champaign County Habitat volunteers and assist with new home construction.

Caring Kitchen

We prepare and serve holiday meals to support our local soup kitchen, food bank and emergency homeless shelter in their mission to care for those who are homeless or food insecure.

Second Harvest Food Bank

We help to sort, bag, and distribute donated food items to those in need. We also help with Mobile Food Distribution at the Fairgrounds.

Special Celebrations

We join in local celebrations by decorating floats to ride in different parades each year, including the Pony Wagon Days Parade in Saint Paris on Thursday, September 5th, the West Liberty Labor Day Parade on Saturday, September 7th, the Chili Cook Off Festival and Hoopla Parade in Urbana on Saturday, September 28th, and we are looking to participate in more! In December we partner with our local Gloria Theater, to sponsor a Christmas movie at a reduced price.
